In January 2017, the brand-new restaurant Gå Nord took up residence in the old coach house amidst the green oasis of Park Spoor Noord. Business managers Nikolaj Kovdal and Sven Wille, the men behind Cargo Zomerbar, had been inspired by the oriental wabi-sabi philosophy and aesthetics: ‘simplicity’ is the key.
For their Amsterdam chef Timothy Tynes, who has his very own interpretation of world cuisine, this primarily means that he will be working with pure flavours and local organic products. Apart from homemade products such as natural wines and handcrafted cocktails, the men are have taken the concept of ‘do it yourself’ to a higher level: they took care of their own interior design, which was defined by the rough details of the industrial building.
Nightingale was responsible for the branding, the photoshoot, international press relations and launch event of Gå Nord.
