HIXX, A STYLEPARC

A NEW 1500M2 EXPLORATIVE FASHION JOURNEY BASED IN LUXEMBOURG

After the successful launch of the Scoop (86) Sneaker store, Antwerp-based concept agency Nightingale teamed up again with Luxemburg based retailer Asport to redesign their main fashion store, HIXX. 

Going beyond traditional shop layouts per brand, the concept of ‘a styleparc’ was developed where shoppers can determine their style and then simply find their most desired item per color, fit and look. In line with the latest design trends, square volumes are replaced by organic shapes and entryways lead visitors through arches, introducing a playfulness to the shopping parcours.

This distinctive interior concept is created by Stijn Nachtergaele, concept designer and founder of Nightingale, and Annemarie Van Riet, interior designer.

Thus an explorative journey was designed for the visitors where the store is divided into different style zones, each with its own entry arch. Arrows point the way and an interactive map helps to plan your shopping itinerary.

INSPIRATIONAL STYLEPARC
The entrance area wows with its structure lit from within, catching the eye of anyone looking in from the lounge area. This curated shopping experience was designed to inspire and is in fact an ever-changing exhibition zone where returning visitors can scoop out the latest trends and styles. A pop-up zone under the stairs gives further flexibility to brands to extend their in-store presence during launches or special events.
COLOR-CODED STYLE NAVIGATION
Given the size and height of the space, it was important to develop a multi-layered top down color-coding system per zone. With a five- meter-high ceiling, the color-coding starts at the Skyparc. These skyparcs are trend corners suspended from the ceiling and visible from anywhere in the shop. On the mid level of the store, color is repeated on the arches through which each zone is entered, and it continues on the floor.
SKYPARC
The Skyparcs are more than just a signage element. They’re windows into the international world of fashion. Here an ever-changing display showcases new designs, international trends and exciting new launches relevant to the zone. The upper steel structure is lit from within to glow. The whole has been developed to provide maximum storytelling and merchandising flexibility.
IN-STORE SHOPPING WINDOWS PER ZONE
In a store this big, it was important to develop some fixtures that would function both as screening elements and to hold stock. Nightingale designed elements with a colored frame, combined with a fully flexible system in Scandinavian light multiplex. It effectively creates a shop-in- shop feel for the zones.
