To activate the brand, Nightingale came up with the idea of a roadmap for Berlin-Mitte, the area around the first Royal RepubliQ store in Germany. Berlin influencers and locals were asked to give their favourite spots in the city and these were all gathered on one map. This initiative was later branded as the Offspots project.
Urban travellers were able to discover the finest cafés, restaurants, inspirational spots, shops, cultural places and art centres that may not be on every other map – “These are no hotspots and we don’t want to be an average travel guide. Welcome to Offspots, a place where all the hidden treasures of Berlin are exposed by locals”.
