You simply can't ignore it: the bomber jacket is everywhere. For the upcoming fall/winter collections, many brands step away from basic interpretations of the popular jacket and start to experiment with shapes, dyes and textures.
Lana Scatorchia, responsible for our showroom, spotted many bomber jackets in the forthcoming collections of Nightingale's fashion brands: "The bomber has taken over the fashion capitals for quite some time now, but this year designers opted for unusual colors and satin variations. Whether oversized, embroidered or meshed, it’s all about the details for FW16.”
Scandinavian love brand Samsøe & Samsøe for example, created a bomber jacket for FW16 with an outstanding cracked metallic look. German label Drykorn designed their own souvenir jacket - "The sartorial craze of SS16", according to fashion website High Snobiety. Drykorn's satin bomber is decorated with subtle oriental embroidery inspired by the seventies. Belgian label Arte Antwerp, providing premium menswear with a streetwear soul, also surfs on the bomber wave with its velvety dark blue jacket.
