While most countries in Europe were already enjoying Colonel Sander's secret recipe, 2019 will mark the year that a highly anticipated first restaurant will open in Belgium. And we have Autogrill Belgium to thank for that! As soon as this spring, the restaurant will open in train station Brussels North.
KFC owes much fame to her famous Secret Recipe Chicken. In 1952, when Colonel Sanders opened his first restaurant in Kentucky, the recipe for 11 herbs and spices grew into a success that seized the world. From one location in America, the restaurant grew into a global phenomenon that evolved from Europe to Asia into a gigantic chain, with different interpretations of the menu in every part of the world.
KFC classics such as the Bucket and their spicy Hot Wings remain popular among Belgian tourists in other countries to this day. 2019 will be the year that the Belgian population can also enjoy these classics on their own soil, as well as newer products such as Boneless Crispy Strips, Spicy Zinger burger and Popcorn Chicken Bites.
