Luc Tuymans, Lara Gasparotto, Kati Heck and Wim Catrysse: these are the artists whose printed work can shortly be on view in your very own living room. It is exactly this wish that sparked the beginning of Art Partout in 2009: gallerists Gert Junes and Bart Van Acker wanted to make owning art more accessible for a wider public of art lovers. And so they decided to focus exclusively on graphic art: an art form that comes in multiple editions, for which artists experiment with various printing techniques such as lithography, screen-printing or etching. “The graphic art which we offer has and keeps its value”, says Van Acker.
At first, Art Partout only sold graphic work by Luc Tuymans. As of now, in addition to prints by Tuymans, graphic works by artists such as Hans Op de Beeck and Panamarenko are also available. Add to that prints by all-round painter Heck, photographer Gasparotto and visual artist Catrysse, and there’s no way around it: graphic art is as relevant as any other medium today.
